February 3, 2003 - 4TheBest.net in a joint venture with smsonline.net has released two "AIM" compliant modules for Miva Merchant version 2.22 to 4.13 for Authorize.Net and QuickCommerce payment gateways.
The initial public release of the "AIM" complaint modules, version 1.2, includes:
- CVV2 - card code processing
- Pay by check processing
- Support for five credit card types - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners
- Sub-messages for ACH and credit card payment interfaces
- Optional "AIM" compliant "Transaction Key" communication is available
- Authorize-Only transactions use the more secure transaction id method for capture
- Eliminates the need for a Miva commerce library
- Increases transactions speed
- Reduces transaction problems
The Advanced Integration Method "AIM" is an evolution of the old ADC Direct Response and uses a direct secure sockets layer (SSL) connection to the Payment Gateway and is Authorize.Net's recommended connection method for Authorize.Net's WebLink and ADC Relay Response connections that will be discontinued in early 2003. Users of Miva Merchant version 2.22 to 4.13 have an upgrade path from WebLink and ADC Relay Response to "AIM" by implementing this module in their Miva storefront.
